New Instructor Candidates- tell us about your paddling experience, any paddling, first aid, safety or rescue instruction, education and life experience that might be applicable to your Instructor status. This form will send your information to the TSRA Training Committee who will evaluate your resume and keep you informed of upcoming Instructor Training opportunities.
To become a TSRA Instructor you must sucessfully complete Instructor Seminar, assist an experienced TSRA Instructor as an Apprentice Instructor at least once and maintain a current CPR certification. Additional training is strongly suggested and is offered several times each year.
Current Instructors - Please use this form to sign up for Instructor Seminar and to tell us which schools you will instruct. State in the Comments area the boat type(s) you'll be paddling/instructing - Kayak, Solo Canoe, Tandem Canoe, C1
Support Boaters and Other Volunteers - If you want to Support Boat or help in other ways there's checkboxes for that too!
Resume and Comments - Please tell us the three most difficult rivers that you feel COMFORTABLE paddling, and anything else you'd like us to know about your paddling or teaching skills. If you are primarily a flatwater paddler, please elaborate on your skills. TSRA needs Instructors for all kinds of paddling; Flatwater, Sea Kayak, Whitewater, Canoe and Kayak.
